Bound & Determined to Sleep
Out of pure exhaustion and desperation, I have turned to the experts. Quite frankly I'm embarrassed and unsure why it has taken me four years, three kids and hundreds of sleepless nights to do so, but folks, this is it. This is the start of my journey to recapture my sleep, my feeling of control and most importantly, my sanity.
And it is all starting with this . . . 457 pages of how to teach you child to sleep, and hopefully 457 pages of pure genius. It worked wonders for my sister's kids so I am hoping it will do the same for us. I will let you know how it goes. Tonight is Night #1.

42nd Annual Military Appreciation Banquet (as civilians)
Every year the Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce puts on a huge banquet in honor of our local military men & women, especially those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. We never attended while Wes was active duty (not sure why), but it was nice to go and be the ones appreciating the military for a change rather than the ones getting appreciated.
We were the hosts to 2 aviation NCO's who were receiving awards that night and hearing Wes chat it up with them like he used to do before freeze-ups and incompetent appraisers took the place of blackhawks and PT, made me realize how much the military still means to me. I loved sitting back and listening to all the stories. Sure, the deployments sucked and moving all the time wasn't ideal, but the military is like one big family and that night I felt a bit like being at a family reunion.
How funny is this? Wes & I had no idea the boys snuck into the pic. They crack me up!

Bo-ism #18
While eating breakfast this morning and pointing to the fresh lilys on the counter that are still closed....
Bo: Mommy, look! It's hatching!

So Totally A Cupcake
Ok folks, Seriously. I don't know what's worse, the fact that some marketing guru in Duncan Hinesville decided to call these "muffins" or the fact that I bought them. And people wonder why America has an obesity problem. Somehow I don't think it's because of the toys in Happy Meals, but that's just me.
