Lesson: Pushing down a trash bag into the trash can to force the lid to close is not a good idea unless the above mentioned trash bag is full of feathers and definitely not half peeled back tomato soup can lids. Duh! Who would do that?

Well a severed nerve, chopped blood vessel, nicked tendon and 15 stitches later (4 inside, 11 out) I definitely won't ever again.

ouchhhhhhhhhhhh Reminds me of two stories - one when I was a medic enlisted years home on leave with my aid bag - my dad did the same - but a horseshoe style in his palm to thumb area - he was working as a Pastor - no insurance - so he sent me to the liquor store to get a bottle of rum for him and he had me sew him up - he still cant feel his right thumb:) the other I did to myself - nowhere near the level you did - oww - and I had to teach Holly how to sew me up - stitches didnt last very long but at least i can feel my finger hope everything works out - owwwwww
