Sam's Preschool Concert & Graduation

Hard to believe but Sam graduated from preschool today.  He has grown leaps and bounds this past year, both socially and intellectually, and I'm so proud of him.  I don't know what was tougher, the first day of school with him kicking and screaming with a death grip around my neck or the day he got too cool for me and wiped off my kiss and barely waved goodbye.  He never said much about the learning part of school but always loved telling us about his friends.  Letters, numbers, and writing are still not overly important to him and a bit of a challenge but he can write his name now and recognize most letters.  He still gets a little confused when counting the teens but I have no doubt it will all click for him soon.  I do think he was more excited today that everyone loved his new shirt though, than the fact that he graduated.   Either way, he did great, looked adorable and I couldn't be more proud.

Sam's End of School Picnic

Sam's preschool had an end of year picnic last week at Fun Time Park and despite the cooler temps and mushy ground, the kids had a blast.

Breakup

With breakup in full swing and 3 boys who are magnets to puddles I took them to Pioneer Park yesterday for some serious fun.  I knew it would be wet but I had no idea it would be as wet as it was.  By then end, they were soaked from head to toe and cold.  Bo was doing cannon balls into the deep part and loved riding his bike through all the puddles.  Sam and Max ran and ran and splashed and splashed.  It was a very fun (and wet) afternoon.  It felt so good to be outside.  And thank God I took extra clothes.

May 7: Hello Spring!

This has officially been the longest winter ever in the history of winter.  It's May 7 and our first day in the 40's, we still have 3 feet of snow in our yard, and we have not gone through breakup yet.  It's rediculous but the end is near so here's to melting snow, bare feet and a messy patio.

Hello Spring.  Hello sanity!  We've missed you both.
