This time of year in Fairbanks is referred to as "breakup" - when the snow starts to melt and the ground becomes a slushy sloppy mess. It sucks for keeping your car clean but is awesome for boys with mudboots and trucks.
You are so positive, finding the good side to break-up mess (just the mess part, the warmer temperatures were great, of course.) I guess I just didn't have an old enough kid there to appreciate the mess part.
